With a poisoned barb

 Always screaming
Never dreaming
Never resting
Always questing

No silence in silence

Only a hot lance

With a poisoned barb

Burning into my soul so hard

Please please please please

Let me rest oh please

Let me be at peace

Let me know sweet release

a species sailing into space

"With a thousand lies and a good disguise / Hit 'em right between the eyes, hit 'em right between the eyes."

-Offspring, You're Gonna Go Far Kid

life is in no rush

for all that it does touch

is forever lush

for life recycles itself 'ever much

pieces and parts

of the greatest of all of the arts

a species sailing into space

homo sapiens, star-faring race

for is there another plan?

than to expand and expand

and give us all room

to grow and bloom

have faith everyone

"now here you go again, you said 'you want your freedom'" -Dreams, Fleetwood Mac

when the wandering is done

to rest under the sun

what will remain

to revisit but this refrain

who knows what's to come

and what will be done

have faith everyone

our story has only begun

for one single dream

did form; from over an eon,

many different answers

for life to spread and savor

and yes, so many deficiencies

"like a heart beat, drives you mad..." -Dreams, Fleetwood Mac

traditions must end

it is not a sin

to part from an old road

and take a way that is bold

we grow through dilemmas

they only scar like henna

and yes, so many deficiencies

grow so many like weeds

remember to just breathe

count them one two three

life continues eternally

love always wins effortlessly

will we ever be saited?

"I have only come here seeking knowledge" -Wrapped Around Your Finger, The Police

the heat does descend

will it never end

a lonely beauty

forever on a journey

desire does push us on

chase it ever and ever anon

will we ever be saited?

with all that we are baited

so much life to live

forever we give and give

in the name of knowledge

"things they would not teach of in college" (above)

Or Trip Over Want

"another fortnite lost in America" -Fortnite, Taylor Swift

so swiftly it becomes a burning

the pull that is yearning

a desire fiercely kindled

all logic cast down and defeated

might as well deny the moon

then say you do not swoon

or trip over want

still, our hearts are not

to the simple glorious end

that life goes on again and again

that love will always win

forever and ever amen

take some time to look around

"You had your qualms!?!" -Patricia, Widows Bay

An Ode

through the fog they come creeping

our nightmares given hearts a'beating

to feast on our fears they come

but only a few will be undone

dont forget to grab a coffee as you go

the pace here is kind of slow

take some time to look around

dont pay any attention to that clown

this house of horrors is ours to tend

in a world where hunger ne'er ends

where our fears do survive

so that we can thrive

of fates divine design

"and how could anybody deny you?" -Coldplay

all roads lead to pain

there is no refrain

from the unending plight

of the dying of the light

deny it all you want

but none of us are a confidante

of fates divine design

no matter what one may opine

we try to know so much

about what little we have touched

the universe doesn't care

what plans we dare

it does play catch up

"I dare you to do something" -Circles, Post Malone

when will you stop?

where is the top?

where is the low?

how much more slow can you go?

time doesn't ever halt

it marches on; your will or naught

it does not play catch up

no force to deter this start up

hesitate to the grave

it will not save

you from your fate

you will meet it one day

will bring new deals

"wait; they don't love you like i love you" - Maps, Yeah Yeah Yeah

evil is winning

no end to the sinning

a darkness hangs low

brought a country to the gallow

we can only hope and pray

that every new day

will bring new deals

to those that kneels

to the king of kings

long may peace reign

we are not beyond redeeming

an end to hunger we must be scheming

joy and happiness from a soul

"You can run on for a long time / but sooner or later, gods gotta cut you down" - Johnny Cash

i have listened to you lie

i have heard you cry

still i do not doubt

that its dark in your heart

i know that you only feel

when from others you can steal

joy and happiness from a soul

drag them down into your black hole

you showed them all

i guess and how you did fall

all alone and afraid

next stop is the grave

but not so from those

"Where the brave may live forever!"

one day the world goes grey

the desire just fades

the sunsets seem sweeter

the coffee grows richer

its seems a lonely place

on its face

but not so from those

who truly grow slow

and still we do yearn

for what we have not earned

demand worship post hence

from those in the past tense

the question will become

'They bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla!"

from winters frozen grip

a new wind does slip

a warmth gently comes

spreading a new kingdom

growth will soon begin

lush and full all across the land

the question will become

who can tame this feral one?

the spring sets the young free

all wild and dancing in the breeze

bacchus my old friend

i hear your call once again

in this galaxy

"Lo, they do call to me."

wearily and wearily done again

i say to my old friend

long have we spent

in hours contemplate

what wonders have we to see

under the trees

in this galaxy

upon our world of loquacity

a king, upon his throne

afraid and all alone?

or a people, saved by grace,

who fear not the fate they face

molded by our hands

"Lo there, do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning!"

we are the victorious

we are the hardiest

we are the swiftest

we are the strongest

the world was given

to be inspired by heaven

molded by our hands

and given on at last

the next to come

will outshine us everyone

greater and greater we grow

under the sun loving glow

edit 041326: corrected opening quote JBT

Laby Liberty

 "And my Sisters & Brothers"

dreams destroyed

"Lo, there do I see my mother."

its not fair

the life we bear

yet our needs are met

though we soon forget

bombs falling like rain

lives snuffed out like a flame

dreams destroyed

so we can have more toys

war only leads to war

whose appetite is only more & more

just to crown a king eternal

of a graveyard sempiternal

or my joy and gladness

"Lo, there do i see my father."

hello

my dear fellow

what brings you by?

passing the time?

im glad you are here

to share in my fear

or my joy and gladness

or perhaps my madness

this will stay

when all else passes away

my diary will become

history to some

no end to dreams made real

the sun keeps shining

whoever is lying

the sun will shine on

there is no end to the song

no end to the stars in the sky

no end to butterflies

no end to dreams made real

no end to deals to seal

never in a hurry

nor does a storm scurry

but all is done

under the sun

we are all in gods hands

who am i

to try

and decide

who should die?

we are not in charge

of this planet at large

we are all in gods hands

forever and ever amen

peace and peace again

unto all my kin

peace unto us all

trying to stand tall

A Languid Creeping Sleep

in the darkest night

there is a light

but not for the bold

is this cold

true winters heart

takes life without alert

a languid creeping sleep

a dream eternally deep

then a dawn awakens

all around, life quickens

times ten new songs unfurl

times twenty new souls uncurl

they love us without fail

if only they could stay

to grace us with love every day

their simple joy

at being rejoined

we make space in our hearts

and from the start

they love us without fail

a friend eternal

go in love my gentle friend

and know that i do send

all my gratitude and joy

with you forevermore
